About the Author

Formigal Keith's Closeup of MeWelcome, and thanks for stopping by. A little bit about me:

After receiving a B.A. in French from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, I began a career in retailing, but soon headed west to California where I signed on as a Bunny at the Playboy Club of Hollywood. A later stint as a legal secretary led to marriage and the birth of my daughters: Kristina, now an attorney, and Shauna, a singer/songwriter. Through my current marriage, I also acquired a son, Jesse, and daughter-in-law, Shelly, who’ve blessed us with multiple grandchildren.

A member of SAG-AFTRA for over forty years, I studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles, acting on both stage and screen, and also enjoying parts on such television series as Santa Barbara, Sisters, and Seinfeld.

Having achieved the levels of Advanced Toastmaster-Bronze and Competent Leader with Toastmasters International, I’m also a member of the Florida Writers Association and the International Travel Writers and Photographers Alliance. My memoir, Rabbit Trail: How a Former Playboy Bunny Found Her Way, was awarded first place in its category in FWA’s Royal Palm Literary Award Competition in 2010 and my first novel, Slippery Slopes, A Libby Landis Novel was a finalist in 2012. They are both available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. in print and electronic versions. I’m currently working on a collection of essays titled A Movable Marriage, and a second Libby Landis book.

At the moment my husband, Keith, and I live near Coimbra, Portugal, with our Maltese, Carson. But we like to keep our marriage, well, movable, so stay tuned…

What a beautiful picture! I think what you are inside reflects to the ourside for all of us to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your deepest crevices. Possibly, it will be a learning experience for the rest of us to dig deeply into ourselves and feel the freedom to share who we really are. That is cause for celebration!
    Love to you,

Coimbra was a little unexpected, but a good choice, I suspect 🙂 It’s on my list to visit next time I’m north of the Algarve. Porto is almost my perfect city, but I’ll keep on looking. Thanks for making contact today. Sounds like you’ve had a great life to date. Best wishes for the future.
